Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Either studying in college or out on placement gaining experience across different parts of the company.
College involves a lot of self studying and reading in order to understand the theoretical side of stuff such as Nuclear Science and Thermodynamics.
Work placement is the best part as you are a part of a team working on stuff that matters and contributes to the project. This could be either working producing documents or inspecting a system thats been put into service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am enjoying my experience so far on the programme. Several challenges but also rewarding at the end when completing a job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have developed several new skills and developed existing ones with the help of work colleagues and tutors.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Good structure, can be some confusion with assignment managers when we go on our college block but overall good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
All the support I need is there form the employer. From work being carried out to mental health and regular health issues as well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support needed from them is also great. Can be a bit slow at times to respond but they do deal with 100's of students other than us so is understandable.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification helps with the background information when discussing a topic in work. It may not be applied in the same way but the knoweldge gained from the qualification is useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Currently difficult to do due to Covid situation!
