Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Working with development teams and the wider business to prioritise and create value for customers. Sage creates payroll, accounting and banking software.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I'm enjoying the content and recommended reading. Some of the workshops don't seem to be as valuable as the could be, but the content has been good in the weekly releases.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Learnt and certified in Scaled Agile and currently building on security knowledge with a Certified Ethical Hacker course.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The weekly drop of new content is good, avoids the desire to sometimes read too far ahead and keeps reading and learning consistent.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I'm lucky that I'm in a role that I manage my own time, so I'm able to spend as much or as little time as I want day to day on the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The first module was a bit of a shambles with no one really understanding how the apprenticeship works, incorrect information from QA and only finding out who skills coach was after the first module.
Now, it is much better, the skills coach is a good source of information and support and some of the module tutors are good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I'm learning skills in my chosen pathway in cyber security which helps me work with development teams to build secure software, I've built on my product manager knowledge with Scaled Agile.
I'm also learning more soft skills on how to be a professional.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Sage are very active in the community being such a large employer in the area. I'm a school governor and I'm aware of many colleagues who get involved in local meet ups.
