Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I support a Senior Relationship Manager in the management of a commercial portfolio of sector aligned customers
The work varies from basic data management & customer queries to sales & lending
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme is very enjoyable because the work is challenging and varied, no two days or requests are the same and I am always given work to expand my skills and engage me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
All of the team have shared skills and helped me learn a lot quickly, they are very supportive, I am given encouragement and access to lots of learning materials and courses.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The structure on a day to day basis is kept simple, I attended initial training which set the course out, I then work within role and am trained on the job, I check in with my tutor at the university on a monthly basis - this works well and allows flexibility but the management on the part of the university is lacklustre
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support not only from my line manager but the hierarchy above as well, I am given one on one time with my team, regional and department leaders and have been given the chance to meet the MD & CEO - I also get regular comms from HR & surveys on well being
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
from the university I have access to a tutor who supports me with notes & monthly check ins but can be unresponsive, they also arranged a buddy for me, an apprentice that had previously completed the course.
the employer allows me time and support where needed to complete the work
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I have been working for the bank for 8 years before the course so it did not add to my ability. It would be useful for someone new to banking though as a basic framework of required skills
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have attended professional clubs and socials, including breakfasts and drinks, and training events, both internal and external.
