Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Managing my projects risks, issues, assumptions & dependencies making sure they are updated and interpreted accordingly
Attending daily scrum calls to ensure my myself and team are working on aiding to deliver certain functionality that the project needs
Taking minutes of meetings for our Project Board Meetings
Managing our projects milestones
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy working in my programme, although it is does feel like a busy project where I feel I don't get as much real focused time to work my apprenticeship coursework.
I am not very knowledgeable in the tech side of things in my project therefore I don't enjoy trying to understand what is going on and sitting in on calls that I feel I have no benefit to being there other than giving my 5-10 mins update

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes have developed analysis skills that I did not have alo't of previously.
I have also built up my team-working, TOFU and communication skills in my role

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I would say it is well organised
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My Manager & Mentor always offer me support whenever I need it
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider gives me a good amount of support if and when required
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I can see how some parts support my role but I would say about 40-50% of some of the information in the Taskbooks is not needed to support me in my role and could be more fitting to my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
yes lot's of opportunities!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is very good apprenticeship as in my manager gives me alo't of opportunity to challenge myself and responsibility which is hard to find in an apprenticeship programme. Working for the bank in any shape or form including doing an apprenticeship is a great opportunity career wise and once you get your foot in the door in the bank you can develop yourself further and move about very easily
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
I would have liked to have been made more away beforehand about the particular job role that was planned for me to go on to being offered a permanent role in after completing my apprenticeship.
