Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The role involves horizon scanning, dependency mapping and identifying relevant risk control measures for hazards and threats. You are provided with hands on practical advice in a broad range of resilience and risk topics over the course of the placement and provided with ample opportunities for more professional growth. You are given the chance to work on multiple projects throughout the placement and given a good degree of responsibility.

I was given a lot of responsibility quickly. You are given as much responsibility as you are comfortable with.

Not only have I had the chance to improve on my existing skills I have also gained new skill across a wide range of resilience subjects and had the chance to gain new skills in other areas of the business.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone is really approachable and friendly. It was easy to arrange and speak to any colleague within the organisation. Everyone works towards Pfizer's values within the company and this creates a great culture.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have grown professionally and personally over my time at Pfizer. Learning the theory at university has been good but gaining practical experience within my chosen field has been really beneficial. I feel I have developed new and existing skills that I can take into my final year at university and into my career after.
