Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Whilst in both teams I got involved in various different tasks including drafting, research and attending a meeting with counsel. We also had a lot of early talent events allowing us to get to know the culture of the firm and what often goes on behind the scenes.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was really great to sit in both an Insurance and Commercial seat as it really allowed me to understand what work goes on at RPC. I got to talk a lot to the trainees about what they get up to and associates about how the role changes when you qualify.

I had never taken an attendance note in a meeting before so that was really great to do. I definitely improved my networking skills over the week.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Amazing! I felt extremely welcomed by everyone I spoke to. People gave me a lot of their time to talk through their cases and meet with me for coffee.
