Very variable, but usually a supporting role on a project within a small team, with daily stand-ups and scheduled or ad-hoc meetings. Main responsibility is supporting the development and presentation of deliverables, which are often PowerPoints, Excel spreadsheets or reports. Some time may also be spent networking, or supporting internal propositions/bids, especially when not sold on client work.
Regular weekly-fortnightly meetings with line manager, and daily communication with assignment manager/team members.

Yes, I have held roles on projects where I was reporting to senior leadership on the client team, and have presented to senior members of staff regularly. I have been given responsibility to create client deliverables on each project, with support from my teams, and have been encouraged to continue to seek responsibility as I go forward.

Office365 skills have vastly improved, with regular use of the entire suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Presentation and communication skills have also improved, with responsibility to present to internal teams and clients clearly and confidently, as well as effectively network with colleagues.
My ability to adapt quickly to different projects, team and changing programmes has also improved, and I have learnt how to proactively manage these situations.

I received lots of support from my line manager, my buddy and the early careers team. Having the combination of these alongside the graduate cohorts and interns has been a great way to have an informal support system, as well as a more formal feedback chain through regular reviews and feedback points.

Everyone is very friendly, and the people at PA genuinely want to help you develop and grow as a consultant and as a person, which makes it a supportive place to work. The workload and atmosphere changes slightly in different parts of the firm, but this is expected and similar to any other company.

I really enjoyed my placement - I feel like I was given a lot of opportunities and responsibility that other placement students don't get. I enjoyed the variety of work and sectors that I was able to work across, and how this allowed me to meet different people who have come from different industries and backgrounds.
