Keeping up to date with all organizational processes with the brand team, including device samples, weekly meetings, and communications with external agencies
Assist with all processes with legal and financial contracts in relation to marketing activities.

The amount of responsibility has increased throughout my time at Samsung, while i wasn’t given much responsibility at the beginning, as I learnt about the business and its roles, I was given larger tasks to take on. I think towards the end of the placement, I was given more challenging and larger tasks which I appreciated as it allowed me to learn more. I do think there were some quieter periods where potentially you won’t get as much responsibility.

I’ve developed my communication and team working skills greatly. Firstly, being given opportunities to communicate with a wide audience, with different communication methods have strengthened my communication skills. While the brand team itself is small, the overarching team is quite large and the job itself also entails reaching out to and working with many people across the business. I also gained some hard skills such as excel skills, gained through the many charts and organizational documents I made

The HR team provided many trainings for us to attend, and ensured we could reach out to them at any point if we had any troubles. In the beginning, we were also given opportunities for monthly catch ups with the HR team and the placement team, where we got to speak through our experiences. My team itself were also understanding and lead me through all the new systems and language specific to Samsung, which was very helpful

I think the company culture is very positive and supportive. There are many employee support groups for different groups, such as Women at Samsung, which provides an inclusive community to network and meet others within the business. i also believe the benefits at samsung are generous, and that they are quite flexible with our working, offering 2 days of work from home, where mostly my managers have been very understanding of personal schedules outside work as well

I enjoyed my placement. I think in the beginning I was slightly lost due to the new environment and having to adjust to the working lifestyle. Samsung also has very specific programs, language and mechanisms that are hard to grasp in the beginning, so I did feel overwhelmed, however this was all a good learning experience and in the end I do think i am walking out with valuable experience i can apply in the future. i had a very supportive and friendly team that helped me along the way.
