Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I work with stakeholders across 34 counties in Europe and deliver various campaigns during new product launches. As part of CRO team, I engage with subsidiary PIC to align on projects and deliver multiple tests, aiming to increase CVR and ROI.
As review team, I manage all review across categories on s.com page and deliver projects that are driven by AI

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I have given top 2 important objectives when I worked on NPS project, as my first task to deliver. I even asked to create many toolkit and copy decks for subs PIC or presidents to read and understand the whole projects I was part of.
As a placement student, I was fortunate to given the opportunity to go to Amsterdam as a business trip on my own, representing the whole team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learnt risk management, stakeholder communication, and adaptability skills. As day-to-day work is changing everyday where priority needed to be considered when working on tasks. As part of EO marketing team, working with subsidiaries from across European countries require constant and established communication with key stakeholders. And as Samsung employee, where everything is fast paced and ‘urgent’, working under pressure and adapting to the fast changing environment are some skills that I gain

From the team that I was part of, all team members were really caring and willing to help me out if I have any questions or faced challenging, which was super helpful and makes me feel more willing to support the team to achieve the highest goal as possible

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Samsung always put “People” first as it’s one of their company value and belief, which is really important especially for placement students who don’t have any previous working experience. Atmosphere is generally welcoming, only when the new product launch is approaching , everyone is really focused and may feel a intense atmosphere.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed it . Given lots more responsibilities than expected, but delivering important projects in my own and seeing the actual impact make me feel that I achieved something and made real effect.
