Managing global teams and platform operations for the Customer Experience team
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Responsibility was far too demanding for a placement year. Asian working culture and ethics leaks into the company culture globally. This involved managing global teams, and managing significant projects with a lack of system knowledge

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
The Placement emerging talent team held some very informative training events throughout the year, such as presentation skills. These events significantly supported our ability to develop skills that can be transferred to future careers. We also got to spend 2 weeks with the placement before us to learn directly from them. However, there was an extreme lack of support from my team due to very high working demands.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The working environment is extremely demanding, due to no fault of my direct team, but Korean HQ values. However, I was always treated as equal to the rest of my team, and valued for my contribution.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
The year was very demanding, but I felt valued throughout the year for my contributions from my team. My team were incredibly kind, but over-stretched with work, therefore support throughout was very limited (very few manager 1/1’s, high responsibility, lack of training).
There were great opportunities throughout my placement to attend partner conferences, which were always engaging and enjoyed. There was also opportunity to travel during my placement - which was very enjoyable.
