Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Collaborating with other departments within the project to provide information within top-level documents of a complex system to the customer which complies with the key user requirements.
Assess and evaluate performance modelling results through performance simulations; conduct studies within the assessment that satisfy the objective.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
During my placement, I was handed tasks that required me to take on a lot of responsibility. I was mostly left to work independently in order to develop my ability to handle tasks. A key part of this responsibility would then be to present to key technical leads on the work I have been doing. This left me with the opportunity to answer technical questions that would require me to gather lots of information around the System.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have received lots of guidance during my placement.
1. Line Manager - I was able to openly discuss my progress within the team and cater my objectives to what I'd prefer to work towards.
2. Technical Coordinator - Provided additional information, guidance and support for ways to maximise the experience I have gained during the placement. This gave me an opportunity to raise any concerns with my experience in MBDA as a whole.
3. Personal Buddy - Was extremely helpful in easing me into the company. It allowed me to discuss work-life balance in an informal manner and receive guidance on how to progress in early career stage.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I think my placement has been a great opportunity to develop my skills within the workforce that I can use to not only develop throughout the early-phase of my career, but to also develop my confidence when taking on tasks in my final year of university. There have also been great opportunities to attend company-held events and partake in extra-curricular activities that made me feel welcomed.

Be yourself. It's really important to be yourself as it helps the company understand your true personality and genuineness in your passion/goals. Make sure to express your key interests within your role and express how it may align with any research you have conducted about the company.
