Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Started off in plant logistics (MP&L), this was a waste of time so I moved to a new team responsible for logistics projects. I spent my time managing the installation and commissioning of an AGV fleet for the new electrification production lines.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was jointly responsible for the multi-million pound project and was solely responsible for a ~£500,000 smaller project.

Yes

What advice would you give to others applying to JLR

Industrial operations is significantly less technical than expected and the Halewood and EPMC/BAC sites are very isolated from the core Coventry based company so these sites are not ideal if you plan to be involved in any company wide events, especially for early careers
