Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role is very varied as we do a lot of project work and I don't have many reoccurring daily task that need be completed. I have a lot of meetings both in person and online (due to Pfizer's hybrid/remote working), with both internal Pfizer colleague's and external vendors and healthcare professionals. I attend conferences with the team to garner insights around the therapy area and then complete projects.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was lead on multiple projects as well being lead author on published abstracts. Each project I had support or was supporting but was given the freedom and responsibility to lead on projects internally but also ones that involved external vendors

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
My team was very supportive. I had 1-1 meetings with each member every week, and was allocated a 'buddy' when i joined who was my main port of call for any questions alongside my manager. We were given training on a specific software/processes we were involved in and there are regular drop in sessions with experts on these software/processes in case you need any further support.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Pfizer to a friend?
Yes
What advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer
try to have a range of experience and not just from an educational setting. Also demonstrate why you want that specific role. A more tailored application will always land better than a generic one. Also follow the instructions don't submit a CV if it doesn't ask you to. And be yourself, if you get to interview it is mainly to see what the team fit would be, so be yourself.
