I am in the inverter squad. I have been given responsibility of the CAE model of the inverter. I run bi-weekly meetings with a supplier to help develop and improve the model and regularly run simulations which have been requested by other teams. I have also been involved in some V&V work to create and link test cases.

Yes I was given ownership over a line of work - the CAE model. I think it was a good amount of responsibility as I felt I was contributing to the team but not overwhelmed

I have really developed my skills in MATLAB simulink which is the software the inverter model is on. I have also really developed in confidence and interacting with people in a work setting. As well as this, I think I have really improved in organisational skills - using an agile way of working

I have had meetings with my manager once a month to discuss the placement and my work. I was also assigned a mentor within my team who has given me invaluable support and career advice for now and the future.

My team is great. They are supportive and approachable. We have regular socials and I look forward to coming into work to see them. The wider early careers community has been brilliant. I have developed life long relationships and participated in many socials like parties, I even had the opportunity to go on a ski trip with the early careers society. Being in office especially at Gaydon feels like your part of a bigger picture.

I have loved this year and really hope I can return on the grad scheme. I think I couldn't of gotten the opportunities and the skills development I have had this year from anything else.
