On a day to day basis, I would have a series of meetings with my team and with various other stakeholders around the business managing, aligning and discussing current and upcoming projects. Every day is different, but would often require following up or updating asset lists or process trackers and various steps to ensure projects are being delivered on time. There is always something interesting going on in the business/ team and would often mean working on smaller different tasks that vary from day to day.

Yes definitely. As an undergrad I thought my tasks would be limited to small odd jobs and admin tasks, however I have been responsible for managing processes, end to end testing, and overseeing whole projects where I am given autonomy to make my own decisions, and am responsible to updating and following up with the rest of my team.

Absolutely. Not only have I gained so much knowledge on various technical platforms which required completing formal training. But I have also developed and improved upon so many soft skills such as: public speaking, communication, networking and leadership amongst many more.
I have also learnt about and become a 'team expert' on various platforms to improve efficiency and project management, which I would not have know about had I not undertaken this placement.
I have become so much more proficient in basic platforms such as Microsoft excel, and have a much better understanding of not only the importance of certain skills, but skills I know I want to continue to further develop.

I have had an excellent support system around me from my managers and the people in my teams, to the early careers cohort leads who are always there to offer support and guidance. JLR have ensured that I am happy in my role, with my work and always want to make sure I am developing both personally and professionally.

The company culture is excellent. There is a real sense of community and belonging that JLR strive for. People are always friendly and willing to help. And there is always a range of activities being organised for both early careers and the wider company. It has created a great atmosphere that makes you want to go into work.

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and am sad to be leaving. The year has flown by and if I had the chance, I would do it all again. I have met so many amazing people, being involved in such interesting projects and have developed so much on a personal and professional level. Working at this company has been so exciting and enjoyable.
