Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My placement experience has been super, ranging from the support I have received from my team, the opportunities that have been created for me and the investment of my personal development, has been beyond what I expected from an industrial placement

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

As a placement student, I was given a vast amount of responsibility ranging not only just managing my time on tasks from creating briefing packs for key stakeholder meetings and coordinating Aldi's Sustainability KPI Dashboard, to having the ability to drive my own ideas and projects such as creating my own internal sustainability hub.

I not only had weekly 121s with my direct lead, but also had weekly 121s with my mentor. I have always felt supported throughout my placement, with my key personal needs prioritising business needs.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Aldi company culture is fast paced and testing, however this is something which as a placement student maximises development. Having worked at Aldi, it has prepared me for any sort of working environment in the future.
The general atmosphere at Aldi is welcoming, specifically withing my team, I have always felt like such a valued member of the team.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, and couldn't recommend it anymore - I feel my development throughout the past year has been immense, and surpassed my expectation.
