Regulatory Reporting Undergraduate Review

I produce financial Regulatory Reports daily and depending on the timing, I may be producing weekly or monthly reports. My role does involve lots of planning to ensure all of my submission deadlines are met as well as working on other tasks outside of my immediate role.

During my placement, I have been given lots of responsibility, to prepare our submissions which go to our regulators, communicate with HQ and organise a Sustainability event for my company.

I have developed my Excel, time management, networking and communication skills massively, through utilizing my calendar, maximising my 1-2-1s, attending company wide events, organising socials and seeking feedback from my manager and team members. I have learnt how to use SAP to run reports and use key transaction codes.

I received a lot of support and guidance, in particular from my manager where we have had regular 1-2-1s and a series of probation meetings. In these meetings, I have felt comfortable talking about any issues I have been facing and my manager has been keen to boost my personal growth.

The company culture at VWFS is very inclusive, employee wellness is a priority, as well as employee development as they run lots of different courses to better yourself personally.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement at VWFS, my team members have been welcoming and keen to teach me about various tasks we have in place. I have make lots of connections with people inside and outside of my department and would love to come back to work at VWFS.
