Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Supporting the sales team in terms of creating reports, and creating resources to help them. Dealing with broker enquiries and supporting them in the sales process. This is by answering calls and emails.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of responsibilities during my placement, these involve speaking to brokers, presenting in meetings, visiting brokers and running reports to drive sales performance and create a crucial insight into the stock position.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Developed Excel skills, through functions such as Vlookups and pivot tables. Developed communication skills, both verbal and written. Time management and managing independent deadlines. Critical thinking and provlem solving too.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have had lots of support, in terms of a month long transition period where I developed all of the skills and learnt the responsibilities required for the role. If I have any questions about anything to do with my role I am encouraged to ask questions and the team is more than willing to go out of their way to help

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture is good and everyone is very open to any new opportunities or jumping on anything that could help to develop the team. Everyone is very nice and happy to help. Having so many undergrads really helps to build relationships and foster growth
