Accounts Specialist Review

I work with analysing customer accounts and particularly in writing off money from those accounts for whatever the reason may be. Day to day taks can involve helping to resolve issues with invoices not being properly uploaded to the accounting software to checking if a refund is due or not.

No, I would say that there was some degree of responsibility with my role such as if I made a mistake there could have been a refund made to the wrong account but compared to the responsibility of others in my team I would say mine is less.

I have become a lot more proficient in using Excel, having learnt things such as pivot tables and also V and X lookups, I have a better understanding of how to Microsoft. I also think my personal skills such as presenting and management skills have improved.

I think I received a lot of support and guidance, any new task I learnt I would always have someone helping me or guiding me on how to do it. And the team was very friendly in general so would always be more than happy to help if I got stuck on a particular task.

Company culture and atmosphere is great, the people in my team and people around the business that I have interacted with are all friendly and helpful. The company culture is chill in the sense that everyone in my opinion at least are very easy to talk to and no one really looks down on you on the questions you may have.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, especially the people that I have worked with have been super helpful and fell like they have helped me progress my business skills such as presenting and confidence in meetings. I would say the work does get repetitive after awhile.
