I update our existing reporting suite weekly and monthly. I handle troubleshooting issues that come into our inbox that the wider department send out. I also create reports based on our stakeholder's preferences and needs.

My manager encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, to take more responsibility and this helped me achieve great results. By doing this, I was given several value-adding opportunities that added to my placement experience.

As my role mainly consists of manually checking the data and ensuring the figures in our reports match the raw data, my attention to detail has improved. Being a member of the sales department, I have also improved my communication skills and relationship management skills by resolving several queries from the wider team. I have also developed different learning approaches as I've had to learn different software to complete our reports.

My manager and wider team were very supportive. They ensured I was given the appropriate guidance and support to complete my responsibilities and tasks efficiently. They provided me with tools to help me.

Starting as a placement student can be daunting due to lack of experience, but everyone was welcoming and willing to share their expertise with you to help you grow and develop.

I really enjoyed my placement year. It really helped me grow and develop both professionally and personally. I have created long-lasting relationships with people in my team and will continue to stay in contact with them.
