Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Handling incoming telephone call, emails, and portal tickets from our internal and external managed services customers regarding their IT requirements
Log and manage equipment requests.
Ensuring all Requests & Tasks are progressed
Maintain high levels of request ownership through the request lifecycle to a satisfactory Customer resolution.
Working with Suppliers to aid in the fulfilment of Requests
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a good amount of responsibility during my placement. I was trusted with important tasks and projects that contributed directly to the team's goals. This included managing the MDL's largest customer, which helped me develop both my technical and communication skills. I appreciated the trust placed in me, and it motivated me to take initiative and perform at my best.

I received enough support and guidance to perform my job well. My supervisor and team provided clear instructions and were always available whenever I needed extra help or had questions. This balance allowed me to work independently while still feeling supported.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company had an amazing work-life culture. Everyone was friendly, approachable, and supportive, which made it a very welcoming environment. There were also plenty of extra activities and events that anyone could take part in, helping to build strong team connections and make the workplace enjoyable.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
It was an amazing experience—one that I’ll never forget. It helped me grow significantly, especially in terms of soft skills like confidence and communication. It also gave me great insight into what professional work life is really like, which I found both valuable and inspiring.
