Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I manage plant recruitment by coordinating applications, contacting managers, and arranging interviews. I assist with future placement and graduate recruitment alongside the Corporate Recruitment team. I also oversee the Cummins Driver Safety Training and Driver License Checks. My role includes maintaining HR documentation, such as exit interview data, photo libraries, organization charts, and work instructions. Additionally, I attend disciplinary and grievance meetings to take minutes and support new HR initiatives.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given significant responsibility during my placement. I took notes in my supervisor's place and ran monthly reports on absence, attendance, and temp-to-perm ratios, some of which were forwarded to the senior leadership team. These tasks allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the organization and develop my skills in data analysis and reporting.
