Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Supporting the Central and Eastern Europe sales team with all aspects of the deal making process. Involves collating detailed availability reports using internal systems, creating sales decks, preparing presentations for internal teams researching industry/market trends.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given significant responsibility. Among a variety of other duties I was in charge of the teams marketing communications to clients and in charge of the teams travel budget and expenses.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Developed presentation skills including public speaking. Have also improved communication skills by interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Additionally I have learnt copywriting skills from preparing marketing communications for our client list. Additionally improved Excel skills. I have also greatly increased by understanding of the TV and film industry.

I received a great deal of support from my manager as well as the rest of the team. I had a monthly development tracker which supported my progress over the year.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship as I have been given a good deal of responsibility and opportunities to develop. I am keen to continue pursuing a career in the media industry as a result of the internship.
