Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I oversee the running of both the DreamWorks Asia and Middle East linear channels and VOD packages, manage the rights and inventory for all of the DreamWorks channels and complete any ad-hoc tasks that help to support the team.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility during my internship. I was given the responsibility of running two international linear and SVOD packages for the DreamWorks channel.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have strengthened my cross-functional collaboration skills, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills through working across different teams in my department and across multiple territories. I have also learnt new skills specific to programming, such as content planning, strategy development, affiliate management and how to successfully rollout schedules for both linear and VOD platforms.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have really enjoyed my time at NBCUniversal, it was a friendly place to work and I had a lot of opportunities to get involved and develop my skills across different departments. I enjoyed learning about the company and how the wider business works.
