Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As the Kids and Family (Global) Research Intern my role involves providing key Kids & Family franchise insights and performance updates to the marketing and sales teams, to help assist upcoming launches and sales pitches. I also follow current consumer & kids’ trends to support sale strategy and marketing activations.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given ownership of regular deliverables, such as the Kids and Family Research SharePoint site, which would be updated with key projects, franchise updates & different market overview insights. This is used heavily by the TVD marketing and sales teams.

I received excellent support and guidance from my manager - we had weekly meetings and check-ins.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I have found the NBCU very welcoming and supportive. Everyone is open to answering any key questions I have had throughout my internship and always willing to provide time to have a chat. My team have supported my personal growth and career development.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as an intern at NBCU. My team/manager has been supportive throughout, always providing me with opportunities for professional development. The intern culture has also been great, with a large cohort of interns, making it easy to meet like-minded people, your age in the industry.
