FP&A Intern for International Networks, Hayu & DTC Review

This role focuses on the management of B2B affiliates for EMEA Networks & Hayu, as well as certain cost lines. This includes recording subscriber data and analyzing trends which have occurred and any reasons for this. As such, this helps to forecast monthly revenue for our affiliates. There is also daily management of purchase orders and invoices working with the financial controllership team.

I was treated like a full-time employee like the rest of the team. I was given my own revenue and cost lines to work on in the same way as everyone else. Therefore, I feel I was given lots of responsibility whilst having the safety of my manager overseeing my work.

I have learnt lots of new excel skills having used the platform on a daily basis. I have also improved my networking abilities. There are lots of other interns and many opportunities for networking with different people of all ages across the business. EMEA networks also means that I communicate with lots of people who work in another country or speak a different language which has helped refine my communication skills.

I received lots of support and the team consists of many ex-interns who now work full time at the company (even in the same team!). So there is always someone who you can ask for help and will support you. There is also free access to LinkedIn Learning and other resources so there are other avenues you can take to help you too.

Very relaxed yet hard working. Although everyone is committed to the role and does their job well, there is a casual dress code and flexible working hours. The company prioritizes the people very well and are able to work around your needs. My team was also very young so this helped naturally when joining as it felt easier to fit in.

I loved my internship. There are loads of intern events which keep it entertaining and sociable as well as being a great place to work based on the location, people and building itself (CSG). The work is thorough and will definitely keep you busy with lots of responsibilities. The only drawback is that it can get slightly repetitive as you are often doing the same things each month but this is the nature of financial accounting and management.
