Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Supporting the team with month and quarter end tasks as required as well as ad hoc projects
Liaising with different departments locally and internationally both finance and non-finance
Taking ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was surprised by the amount of responsibility I was given at an early stage which has helped me become more confident in the work environment and when communicating with managers in the team.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement as I have loved the role in which I have worked and also the people in the business. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a placement who is interested in the entertainment industry and also wants to gain some experience in a very big, well known company.

What advice would you give to others applying to NBCUniversal
The advice I would give is to show your interest in the industry in the application process. Do plenty of research about the company and what they do and then find some things that you are very interested in such as a film and really show your interest for that. Most employers are looking for someone who fits the team very well and will be a friendly face around the office and also knows there role very well before they begin the placement.
