Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Accounts payable processes for various productions. This includes invoice processing, entering them into accounting software depending on the production, supplier payment processing etc.
- Conduct weekly compliance checks using Bridger, assist with audit preparation, and support reconciliations and budget tracking.
- Support cashflow management for all the productions, and handle a part of payroll for cast and crew

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
My responsibilites go through phases, I get very busy during certain periods and don't have much responsibility during others. In the beginning I did not have much keeping me busy, reaching the end of my internship now, I have a lot more to do.

I received quite a long handover and my team is very friendly so I ask them questions at any time. However, I did not receive much guidance from my team in terms of staying on after and what different paths I could explore.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed learning more about the industry and meeting different people. The beginning was quite slow for me, in terms of work load, but I do enjoy the work I do.

Apart from showing capability in doing the role, show passion for the industry and be friendly! Make the most of your internship as it does go by really quickly.
