Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As an industrial placement student at Mott MacDonald working in the water utilities division, my daily role was varied and I worked on various different projects to gain a wide variety of experience. Some work was technical while other work may not be as technical but each part was a great learner experience.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given enough responsibility but also felt supported throughout

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learnt lots of skills, from more general things like how to use excel better, to more water specific like how to size a pump and the chamber it will be in. Aside from this working at Mott MacDonald also helping improved my soft skills.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoy my really enjoyed my placement. It provided me with the chance to develop myself overall and it gave me an insight into what working in a Consultancy is like.
