What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Early on, a senior facilitator walked us through the firm’s three core service lines—Audit & Assurance, Tax & Legal, and Advisory (which itself spans everything from Transaction Services to Risk Consulting). Rather than a dry slide‑deck, each segment was brought to life with real‑world examples of client projects, showing you exactly what each team does on a day‑to‑day basis and the kind of value they deliver.
Live Q&A with Practitioners
Immediately after each service‑line overview, small‑group Q&As with professionals currently working in those teams gave us the chance to drill down on “a day in the life.” We heard, for instance, what an audit trainee’s week looks like during busy season versus quieter months, and how a tax consultant balances multiple client deadlines and long‑term planning work.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I left confident that Forvis Mazars isn’t just another big firm. Their emphasis on wellbeing, diversity and flexible working felt baked into every interaction, not just thrown in at the end. That alignment between what they preach and what they practice made me excited about the prospect of working there.
Room for Improvement:
The only thing I’d adjust is timing—some of the workshops felt slightly rushed, especially when you’re gearing up to ask follow‑up questions. A little extra buffer between sessions would allow deeper dives where you really want them

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Forvis Mazars
Deep‑dive into the firm’s service lines (Audit & Assurance, Tax & Legal, Advisory): know a few recent Mazars projects or thought‑leadership pieces and be prepared to discuss why those areas appeal to you.
Understand their culture and values (respect for individuals, integrity, diversity): think of concrete examples from your own experience that demonstrate how you live those values.
2. Tailor Your CV and Cover Letter
Be succinct but specific: highlight relevant experience—group projects, part‑time jobs or societies—where you’ve shown teamwork, communication or problem‑solving.
Use their language: mirror words from the job spec (e.g. “commercial awareness,” “client focus,” “data analysis”) to make it obvious you’ve read it closely.
Quantify achievements: “Led a team of 4 to research and pitch a cost‑saving proposal which would have reduced overheads by 8%.”
3. Demonstrate Commercial Awareness
Read broadly: follow business news and keep an eye on sectors Mazars serves (e.g. financial services, manufacturing, tech).
Form an opinion: have one or two quick takes you could drop into an interview—“I noticed in the last quarterly report Mazars talked about… so I think the firm is well‑placed to help clients with…”
