Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
On the insight day, we received talks from: graduate recruitment, the training principal, the DTI head, and panels on secondments, pro-bono, disputes and international corporate transactions. Gained a detailed insight into the day-to-day lives of trainees and more senior lawyers at Gibson Dunn, the strong dual-specialism in both primary areas of corporate transactions and disputes, and the opportunities available to lawyers at the firm for progression and development.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The speakers were very insightful, making good use of personal anecdotes to help combine a more holistic outline of the role with a specific understanding of what it is like to be a lawyer at the firm. Talks were given from a wide and helpful range of presenters, understanding all different aspects of life at Gibson Dunn.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company had a remarkably supportive culture, having found a very strong and rather unique balance between client service and prioritising lawyers and other employees as individuals.
