Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Keeping track of the recruitment processes for various roles, keeping hiring managers and candidates updated throughout. Supporting on roles, interview process, interview questions and communication. Managing busy schedules of hiring managers and talent partners. Coordinating interviews and prepping the candidates and hiring managers. Working on some great projects throughout the year.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given responsibilities during my placement year quite a bit. This allowed me to work a lot more independently and work on tasks/projects. I wasn't spoon fed during my year, which allowed me to be a lot of curious and look for the information I needed - this meant I was reaching out to many new people and form relationships.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed my existing skills throughout the year, but also, I have learnt so many news ones and I have managed to grow and develop myself throughout my placement year. I couldn't thank my manager and team enough for constantly encouraging to get involved in tasks/projects/teams, this has allowed me to build on my confidence massively and I wouldn't be in the place I am now without their constant support.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I couldn't be more happy with the support and guidance I received. My manager was amazing and was constantly there for me if I needed help/support/guidance. We had regular meetings and Openblend sessions, which encouraged conversations.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Amazing! It's such a great culture and so infectious. This is one of my favourite things about Gymshark.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I've loved every aspect of the internship, it's been a crazy amazing journey and one I will forever look back on. I have seen myself develop and grow throughout this year and I thank my team and manager for pushing me outside of my comfort zone at times. I enjoyed the role that I was in, allowing me to speak to hundreds of new people and working on some great projects. This year has been difficult at times, as I spent the majority of my year remote, but it didn't stop me from learning and developing - if anything, it's allowed me to work independently a lot more.
