Insight Day 2025 Review

The day consisted of a series of very well organised sessions with Partners, Associates and Trainees in the areas of International Corporate Transactions, International Dispute Resolution, Pro Bono, DTI, and Graduate Recruitment.
The sessions were highly informative and ample time was provided to ask questions. The small size of the group was particularly helpful in allowing everyone a chance to have their queries answered.

Understanding the different ways transactional and litigious lawyers operated at the firm gave a strong insight in to the different aspects of those roles and how they operate at Gibson Dunn. The differences and interaction between these two types of role depicted the process that a Trainee goes through when selecting an area of law to specialise in as an Associate.

The Insight day gave me the opportunity to further my understanding of how my skillset could be applied at the firm. Likewise, it helped me better understand what the firm seeks in potential candidates for their vacation schemes and training contracts, especially during interviews.
Asking the event hosts questions made me more comfortable and confident in communicating with senior legal professionals.

The company culture was a particular highlight of the day. While remaining extremely professional and answering questions in considerable depth, the event hosts seemed genuinely collegiate and noticeably friendly with each other.
Throughout the day it was emphasised that the firm places great importance on seeking that each of its employees genuinely enjoys what they do - and this was in-fact the impression the event hosts gave of themselves.

I found the insight scheme very enjoyable because of the comprehensive coverage of the day-to-day work of the firm. The event hosts were very helpful in answering questions.
