Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
During the insight day, we met with partners, associates and trainees, from a variety of different backgrounds to learn about Gibson Dunn. We learned about the firm's approach to DTI, pro bono, the application process and the type of work completed by the firm, and we had opportunities to ask questions. It was particularly insightful and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very helpful to hear about the number of trainees and the high retention rate of the firm. All of the information provided was clear, contextualised and beneficial.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture of the firm was clear to see with how the trainees and associates handled themselves. Everyone was very friendly and keen to answer any questions we had. We were told about the way that trainees are offered support while they develop at Gibson Dunn, and this cultivates a professional and friendly culture.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight day. I found it helpful and interesting. The insight day showed me how much I would be valued if I were a trainee at the firm, and Gibson Dunn is definitely a firm I will apply to in the future.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP
If someone were to apply for a training contract at Gibson Dunn, I would strongly recommend applying for the insight scheme first as it gave me a greater insight into the firm and it can help them decide if Gibson Dunn is a firm that they can see themselves working at.
