Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The day was very well organised with interesting sessions that allowed us to learn more about the firm and get involved with different members of the team. The opportunity to ask questions and work in team on the commercial awareness workshop was very stimulating and helped make the day even more insightful.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The different members of the firm who attended the day were very available and prepared to explain the different dimensions of the firm that would have been interesting for us to know about. We were well introduced to different aspects of the firm's work, with possibilities to ask questions, ensuring that everyone could get involved to discover more about the firm. The application session was very useful to explain the role.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Participating in the commercial awareness workshop certainly improved my communication and team working skills. We worked in groups to build arguments and split parts to persuasively argue for our position. The time-sensitive nature of the task and the fact that we did not know each other created a very stimulating challenge which made this experience particularly useful.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed every aspect of the open day as it allowed me to interact with members of the firm and with other aspiring solicitors like myself. Learning more about practice areas and trainee experiences was very enjoyable.

I would definitely say to apply and not miss the chance to interact with this firm. I would also say that it is a firm that is truly looking for people who it is comfortable with and who have a positive personality. Therefore, there is no need to be nervous around members of the firm and it is actually very important to be true to oneself when interacting with them.
