The Gibson Dunn Open Day provided insights into corporate transactions, dispute resolutions, and pro bono work. It featured partner-led introductions, a commercial awareness workshop, and application tips, as well as informative trainee insights. The day offered an engaging blend of legal expertise, career advice, and practical exercises.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Understanding Gibson Dunn’s business and potential roles was both enlightening and inspiring. The day offered a clear view of how the firm is committed to combining legal expertise with strategic, client-driven solutions. From high-stakes international transactions to impactful pro bono work, it highlighted the breadth of opportunities available for trainees, associates and partners. Each session highlighted the dynamic and innovative approach Gibson Dunn takes to provide exceptional, tailored advice, ultimately reinforcing my ambition to be part of such a pioneering and esteemed organization.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The Gibson Dunn Open Day honed my teamwork skills as I collaborated with a group of five during the commercial awareness workshop to tackle a hypothetical workplace issue. Moreover, presenting my team's findings enhanced my presentation skills, as I was tasked with clearly articulating complex ideas under time pressure. Finally, my analytical skills were sharpened as I focused on the issues raised by newspaper reports to source out the key issues and support our argument.
