Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Attended the firm's remote open day. It was a great way to fit it around a busy exam schedule. The graduate recruitment team were great at giving us unique interview tips and the commercial awareness workshop really set the firm apart from other open days which I attended.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
They were brilliant at telling us at why there is only one vacation scheme but for 3 weeks, allowing you to have a 'mini seat' where you are developing many relationships with the firm's lawyers as well learning about the firm's culture.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The Commercial awareness workshop allowed us to work on our team work skills whilst being supervised. It was great to have an almost mock interview in that sense and I felt like the firm's associates really gave excellent tips in way you can succeed.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was great to hear from the trainees who had a great insight into the 'free market system' and the responsibility which they take on during their training. The general atmosphere was that you are in a culture which is rewarding your hard work and allows you as much responsibility as you can take.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the insight and felt like due to the small number of attendees we were able to ask very personalised questions whilst learning so much about the firm. It was one of my favourite open days and has really given me an insight into the firm's personalised approach to trainees themselves.
