Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Every day we listened to a variety of talks from speakers on aspects of EY as well as our own well being. We took part in a case study within a group to develop our presentation and analytical skills which was then presented to an EY manager.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really useful to see what roles were on offer at EY and how they contributed to the wider business. The opportunity to see what each role entailed and ask questions of those in existing roles was an excellent part of the experience.

Developed a range of presentation skills as well as refining my networking skills. The opportunity to ask questions and engage with other interns allowed me to focus on building connections.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There seemed to be an excellent culture where all of the employees seem to enjoy their work and talking about it. The atmosphere was great and the team provided lots of support to all of the interns.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
Overall I enjoy the experience as it gave me an excellent insight into the world of consultancy and how it functions across different sectors. Some of the talks were not as interesting as others and therefore I struggled to stay engaged in some of them. The vast majority however were engaging and provided useful information.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY
To take time on the application process rather than rush. Within the group interview, a lot of the candidates tried to take over the room so I would advise others to contribute but not to dominate the conversation to the point where others are not able to contribute.
