Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I was given full responsibility for my own research, projects and constructing a fund. Everything was double checked and tested by someone else but I had my own tasks to do.

Financial knowledge came on massively across Accounting, Equity Research and Fixed Income from the training.

I received a lot of guidance and support. Everyone was willing to help me and give up their time to speak to me. People were also understanding when I made mistakes. I am very grateful to my team for this.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Excellent culture overall. Very open and friendly but still with a strong drive and ambition. A lot of very intelligent and hard working people who are happy to teach you things and guide you. I loved my experience

It’s an excellent place to be. Try to show curiosity and initiative as much as possible. Obviously a build a good understanding of the area you are applying for so you have a strong foundation to build on. Show your enthusiasm
