Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was involved in producing cost related results to show how the company is performing. The projects involved were monthly and half yearly performance reviews. I was also involved in gaining insight into third party spend to provide opportunities for cost savings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given ownership of projects and therefore had been given the responsibility to provide deliverables to my team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Skills i have developed include verbal communication and presentation skills as i was presenting projects i had completed to more senior members of staff frequently. I have also developed time management skills by learning to balance many different responsibilities.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received so much support from members of my team and also the Early Careers Team. Firstly, my team were incredibly supportive and always gave time up to answer my questions and help out. The early careers team were also very supportive throughout the internship and would always deal with any problems that arose.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It is an incredible culture, everyone is so supportive and inclusive. I feel like i could speak to anyone regardless of their position in the company. Everyone is also really friendly and always happy to help out.
