Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I analyse data from testing to identify errors and improve our products. I also work with other teams to improve our existing products and talk either customers to help the products meet their needs.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Lots. I attended meetings with the final customer, created a spreadsheet for them, assisted in writing a report and made a PowerPoint for them. All my data analysis was also for the report and to help other people in the team.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes, lots! I've improved my data analysis, report writing and presentation skills. I've also learnt Matlab and other MBDA specific software. I also feel I have become more confident and better able to communicate.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Lots of support. It was a bit tricky at first because the rest of the team were at a different site but they were very helpful and communicative. Everyone was really nice and helpful. There is also plenty of training opportunities. Everyone also gets a buddy who helps them learn about the company and introduce you to the way things work.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Great! Everyone is really nice and helpful. I met so many people for coffee to learn about the company. It has a nice vibe. I also like all the social events going on.
