Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The role involved analysing different system behaviour and performing predictions using a system model. This involved collaborating with different teams and stakeholders to understand the requirements for analysis.
On a day-to-day basis this involved implementing fixes and changes into the system model, and investigating problems. Multiple sub projects were often ongoing simultaneously, and the work load varied on a weekly basis.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
The work that was given to me during my placement consisted of both long-term projects, as well as ad hoc work that was provided to the team. This gave me with a good understanding of the different type of work which was carried out within the team.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Many new skills both interpersonal and technical skills were developed throughout my placement, as well as further developing skills learnt at university. Collaborating with different stakeholders and understanding requirements is a key skill that has been developed. The technical skills that were developed within simulation and model analysis include programming and problem solving, both through independently and collaboratively working on the model.
