Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Whether working from home due to COVID lockdown or in office I was tasked with maturing concepts, functional modelling and developing behaviour algorithms that would advise further design direction.
This meant that I worked almost entirely on a computer, though I had plenty of meetings for opportunities to talk to the people I was working with.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was responsible for an important section within the team that had not been sufficiently developed prior to my placement.
I was given, and took, opportunities to be in low-level leadership positions where my knowledge of a specific area of work was useful.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was in regular and frequent contact with my line manager to update them on task progression.
I was able to contact people within the ECP team and the wider work team for advice or human contact whenever needed, this was greatly appreciated since I wasn't able to meet most of the team due to COVID restrictions.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Considering that all of the normal social aspects of the placement didn't exist due to COVID, I do feel like I missed out on a lot socially.
I didn't have the opportunities to meet most of the people I was working with.
That aside, the team seemed invested in making sure that I enjoyed my time at MBDA and so I didn't feel like I had been left on the sidelines.

Focus on the skills that any previous employment or extracurricular activities have given you or you have developed as a result.
Everyone and their mum that is applying for the job has the same level of qualification, so you need to focus on what makes you a better worker and more amicable employee rather than how smart you think you are.
