Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working in the chemistry lab on an existing project at the company. I have also had the opportunity to complete various shadowing experiences in other departments (e.g. biology). I have also been able to attend lots of seminars on various areas of science.

Yes, I have been able to work on my own specific project as part of an existing project here.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly and inclusive. People are always willing to lend a hand and in fact go out of their way to do so. There is definitely a big culture of wanting to learn and continue to develop competencies all throughout people's careers which is really inspiring.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I had a very positive experience. The work was hard but fulfilling and I gained lots of new skills and learnt so much about the industry. There are lots of social events and opportunities to get to know your colleagues better which really helped to foster a relaxed working environment.

Come ready to learn at least ten very interesting new things every day and work on a real project. Don't be afraid to reach out for help when you need it, people are more than willing to support you.
