Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Throughout the week I worked in the Real Estate team.
My tasks ranged from analysing and amending documents, recommending advice and next steps for different cases and researching.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The vacation scheme was an excellent insight into the culture of the firm as well as the role of a paralegal, trainee solicitor, solicitor and partner.

Throughout the week I have vastly developed my ability to self-manage my workload by recognising when I am approaching capacity versus when I can accept more work and communicating such to my team clearly.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Gateley Legal has a fantastic culture that is both supportive and welcoming. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to engage in conversation; both regarding the firm but also general conversation as well. Moreover, the firm welcomes Vacation Scheme Students and encourages them to embrace all that the week has to offer.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I extremely enjoyed my time on the Vacation Scheme and not least did it reaffirm that I want to be a solicitor in a commercial law firm but also that Gateley Legal would be a fantastic law firm to complete a training contract with and continue my career with.
