Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Typically I'd either be working on required pieces of software for my project or creating documentation regarding the software in which I'd been working on. Aside from this, I'd attend daily meetings to report my progress on objectives.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a great deal of responsiblity throughout my placement and wasn't constantly monitored throughout the placement, and was instead trusted to progress through my work individually, asking for help as and when I needed it.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I've learnt and developed plenty of skills during my time at MBDA including but not limited to professional coding practices in both Python and C/C++, communication skills, team working skills and documentation skills. These will all be incredibly useful going forward in my professional career and I greatly appreciate the opportunity in which MBDA offered me in order to develop all of them.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a bit of help here and there, but not a massive amount during my time at the company. This was offered to more permanent roles within the company which was completely understandable due to the cost that is involved in providing training for the role.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture at MBDA was great and very focussed on socialising members of the company with one another, giving me the opportunity to create a great network of friends within the company that I've continued to communicate with even after my placement.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I really enjoyed my placement and hope to be able to return in the future. I'm really greatful for the opportunity in which MBDA gave me and I'll always be thankful for it.
