Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
There were various talks throughout the week from different departments, which provided insight into life at the firm. I was sat in the Restructuring team, and was mainly involved in the drafting of documents/emails and research tasks for more senior members of the team. There was a lot of effort made to ensure that I got to work on plenty of things that I had expressed interest in.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I had plenty of individual chats with employees at Gateley about the firm and potential roles available, all of which were incredibly helpful and insightful.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have definitely gained confidence in my abilities to complete work for senior associates and partners. I would also say, due to the friendly nature of everyone who I have met this week, I have developed my ability to be more outgoing and ask questions, as this was really encouraged.

Company Culture
How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I couldn't fault the culture and atmosphere in the Leeds office. Partners do not have separate offices and sit with everyone else, and are all incredibly approachable. There is no kind of hierarchy. There were social events throughout the week which were very enjoyable.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I don't think I could fault the vacation scheme which I have experienced this week at Gateley. I feel extremely motivated to work here in the future.
