Corporate Intern Review

I was given a variety of tasks, including but not limited to report writing, companies house search, draw the differences between the search result and statutory books that companies keep on their own.

I gained insight into the business world and this helped me to better understand what is required from me as a trainee solicitor. During the training sessions I learnt how each department work together to assist clients. In a commercial setting, the role of trainee solicitor would go beyond just producing quality work but also maintaining strong connection with colleagues to fully explore the opportunities that are open to clients.

I learnt to better communicate with my team to enhance work efficiency. I also hone my existing skills such as attention to detail and time management to complete each and every task I was given. For instance being detailed oriented helped me when reviewing companies articles and making sure the numbering was accurate and there were no spelling errors.

People at Gateley are truly inclusive. Actions speak louder than words, and this is shown by the effort and commitment of the DEA team in designing programs to improve diversity and inclusion. For instance the Unity scheme endeavours to eliminate the barriers between people from different backgrounds and encourages acceptance and respect in the workplace.

I thoroughly enjoyed my one week here.
