What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Everyone at Gateley Leeds office was very welcoming and so learning all about the business was consistent throughout my time here, through discussing all the roles available the different routes into the profession was evident. It was really exciting to experience this first hand and understand how to progress in a law firm. It was invaluable to have talks with people who have succeeded already and receive any hints and tips.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very friendly, everyone from paralegal to partner was more than happy to have a chat and was interested in how I was finding the week and there for any advice. Not just in my team, but across the board it seems everyone is happy to be there and employees attend socials regularly so this was nice as the teams connected well outside of the office too.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed my time here at Gateley, it was especially nice to feel as welcomed as I did and to have the opportunity to attend events to really get to know the teams. The work provided was a good insight into what the role would include. Fran was great at updating and informing me of any work she was currently completing which gave me an understanding of her role too.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gateley
Don't be nervous! Gateley has a very welcoming environment and that allows you to settle in really quickly to experience the culture and work inside and outside of the office. I found that doing research on Gateley's structure helped understand the teams and where the different areas are primarily based to gauge which office I wanted to apply to.
