Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

During store training, you learn the foundations of retail at Store Assistant Level, all the way through to ordering the stock for highly-profitable stores at Assistant Manager Level. Then, when embarking onto project work, you learn the 'behind-the-scenes' of one of Britain's Top 4 Supermarkets.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given the responsibility of hiring new employees for new stores opening in the region as well as acting as a 'National Lead' for a department within ALDI whereby colleagues at all levels were directed to me for support.

I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year not only because of the incredible experience I have gained but also because of the incredible colleagues I have met and had the opportunity of working alongside.
